I had no idea it was also a hotel, but other than Theory, this is my favorite coffee spot in town. The decor is well thought out and looks great, sometimes the music is on point, sometimes, and drinks are well crafted. I'm using the word crafted because, even if you were to get an iced matcha with added honey, they actually take the time to melt the honey before mixing it into your drink; Which comes out to a well balanced drinking experience. The staff are also friendly.
Is it Evergreen? Is it Feast? Google has them as both? Confusion aside, this coffee shop is a gem of a find in Redding! Is Redding starting to become cool and hip now?! My partner got a cortado/gibraltar (he says they're the same thing?). I got a summer spritz that was a lacto-fermentation with strawberry and other yummy things. For food, he got the avocado toast. I got the market salad because I am a sucker for in season yummies. The salad (in summer) had strawberries, blueberries, figs, and peaches! There was a pistachio crumble! It had shredded chicken. It was everything I wanted after two nights of camping in the hot, hot mountains. It's a bit off of I5 but well worth a detour if you're on your way down or up north. Plus it's Redding. Parking is easy. I am very curious about the boutique hotel part of the name? I couldn't find anything about a hotel other than a photo of a suite on Instagram from the late 2010s. Their website does not exist. What is this hotel?! Is it as cute as this shop?! I have so many questions! Maybe I'll ponder them the next time I visit.
What a cute local coffee shop! With hotel rooms on top!? What!? This is a superb idea. Great coffee. Oat milk latte or anything latte or cappuccinos are delicious. Colorful shop with gift items in store. Food in large portions. Waffle Sundays (at a specific time only) seem plenty of fun. It is small - so seating indoor can be hard to find. I don't always recommend for studying or reading since it gets noisy. More of a communal meet or friends hangout. Outdoor seating can be nice. It is on the pricier side. Sometimes the drinks come out so small, I wonder about the price. This is a fancier place for coffee for sure. Service is great. It gets busy, yet the people are kind and try to be attentive. I've had long wait times until finally receiving help from someone. So, if you have some extra time and aren't rushed - this is a great spot. Excited to try more drinks!
I was definitely not expecting such a refined coffee experience in Redding but was pleasantly surprised. Their drip brews were fresh and bright. I can see why folks were waiting in line for their orders. Definitely pair the coffee with some corn waffles. They also sell their own coffee blends including some from Ethiopia and Central America
We ordered the Chai with oat milk and the maple latte with oat as well and both were absolutely delicious. For food we both ordered the Harvest Bowl which was filled with a variety of flavors, very tasty, the portion was just on the smaller side than what we had expected.
